Gogo

These pictures could not have been taking in a worst location with the sun at the back. We were out for a walk and taking pictures and this elderly resident of Gugulethu, a township in Cape Town, wanted to know what we were doing with the pictures. I told her it's just for us and we might show our friends. She wanted to know what I'll do with a picture of her and I told her that I would show my friends how beautiful she is. She let me take her picture and I jokingly told her that I'm going to put it in a magazine and she was very insistent that I mustn't. After all this I didn't want to ask her to move. I was quite pleasantly surprised that she wasn't completed silhouetted and that the sun didn't blow out her entire face and actually quite like the overall effect of this imperfect shot.
